The Marketing/Fan Experience Assistant will develop, implement and manage all promotional efforts for assigned sports including student and community outreach, game day atmosphere, and hospitality events. The candidate must display the highest of ethical standards and commitment to the overall success of Mercer Athletics. The candidate is also expected to act within the parameters of institutional control and is responsible for conducting all activities in compliance with NCAA, Southern Conference, and Mercer University rules and regulations.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Script/timeline preparation and directing game day execution.
Coordinate the integration of sponsorship elements into game production to ensure fulfillment and seamless presentation.
Social media strategy development and implementation.
Coordinate on-court/field pre-game, half-time, and post-game entertainment and music for various sports programs.
Assist with the development and implementation of single game promotions to increase revenue and attendance.
Assist with the execution of corporate sponsorship contracts.
Assist with the development of printed materials (e.g., posters, schedule cards, season ticket brochures, etc.) and requisitions for promotional items.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required skills and experience:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sports Management or related degree
1-2 years of experience in an athletic department
Available evenings, weekends, some holidays
Ability to organize and implement in-game elements
Attention to detail and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Knowledge of social media marketing
Strong leadership ability
Have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite
Tuition, room and board, and monthly stipend are provided.
