The primary objective of this position is to work to achieve and enhance association activities, membership recruitment, engagement and retention goals and assist in developing and implementing association marketing. This position coordinates the relationship with internal departments that support association branding/social awareness, all association event activities, membership recruitment and retention activities, member services, and education with marketing and communications. This role has significant interaction with members, prospects, staff and association leaders.
Specific Responsibilities include: ~ Manage and maintain the association online and social media presence through various media outlets to include websites, facebook, linkedin, etc., keeping current and promoting events, programs, member achievements, etc. ~ Manage and implement the departmental website content editing and research for ongoing advancements and engagement improvements and offerings online and in store, including marketing of state affiliate events. ~ Maintain electronic communications database for both internal and association leadership for broadcast marketing: data reviewed periodically to ensure accuracy ~ Coordinate marketing and communications to the association membership and prospects through monthly newsletters, weekly news reports, member alerts, member surveys, and advertising campaigns as directed. ~ Provide technical support and recommend marketing strategies to department colleagues for utilizing the media and statistical database to reach their goals. ~ Assist departments in preparing annual budget and in planning departmental activities. Track internal usage of memberships by other departments to ensure members receive excellent customer service. ~ Serve as the department staff liaison as it relates to the database consolidation and customer relationship management to ensure the technology helps us reach our goals for activities. ~ Work with convention marketing manager and sales team to support Vendor and Attendee marketing and recruiting activities and materials, through mailings, daily customer service and telemarketing. ~ Provide administrative and marketing support in many areas of association, annual convention, education programs, awards and recognition, foundation, television. ~ Support the overall goals of the department by performing duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, English, Communications or Marketing. 5 years of experience in association marketing, database management, online communication, and budgeting or other transferable area. Ability to write and edit promotional copy and business correspondence. Proven experience in marketing, direct mail, telemarketing, printing production, and statistical analysis. Ability to coordinate and administer multi-faceted programs and projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently, efficiently under deadline. Excellent, articulate, personable and diplomatic customer service skills. Possess a positive, team-player attitude. Proficient in MS Office, FileMaker Pro, and website research and content editing. Macintosh software knowledge a plus. Proven project management skills.
