And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) The Associate Director, Marketing Technology & Innovation is part of the Marketing Technology and Leadership team. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of all of the technical components for digital properties that use the Digital Marketing Platform (DMP) and is accountable, as the technical representation of the team, to multiple stakeholders and business partners, including senior marketing and product leaders. This role is responsible for understanding and intercepting capability needs for the DMP and related technologies, and acting as a peer to the DMP Product Manager to ensure those needs are appropriately scoped and prioritized within the product roadmap. The position also encompasses release management for the DMP, accountable for planning, executing and communicating monthly or more frequent code and content releases. The successful candidate will be a leader within Digital Marketing Operations, and will assume responsibility for the design and deployment of digital properties on the DMP.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for leadership of digital properties migrating to the DMP Providing technical leadership to our Digital Property Owners, business partner representatives (marketers) and DMO project managers to ensure digital experiences are fully realized through the capabilities of the DMP Actively manage capitalized IT resources and align them to the objectives of senior marketing leaders and business partners Assume primary business and technical architectural assessment responsibilities for DMP, working with developers and DMP product manager to assess and quantify needs Act as business requirements gateway to the DMP Product Manager, supporting a refocus towards the DMP as a product, and helping drive the separation of Project activities from Product activities Maintain responsibility, with IT counterparts, for the capital budget for DMP development Develop and maintain metrics related to DMP-based deployments, capital burn, defect remediation and other indicative measures, along with action plans to address or remediate deficiencies Support and drive a process of Continuous Improvement for the DMP so that projects and capabilities continue to be delivered in an ever more efficient manner Partner with product management, engineering, marketing and other stakeholders to deliver digital properties and experiences via the DMP Adopt and adapt project management and status reporting best practices so as to ensure all parties are aware of status with DMP projects, and that DPO Project Management is supported with business partnersAssume the role of overall Release Manager for the DMP ensuring that releases are correctly scoped, packaged and executed from end to end, liaising as required with Project Management, DMP Product Management, UXDS Development, Dev Ops and other stakeholders as required
Required Qualifications:5+ years' experience in technology project management 4+ years experience working with Marketing and Marketing Technology users Demonstrated knowledge of and confidence in financial and capital reporting Expertise in digital experience release management and the multiple components involved in releasing technology to production Experience of and confidence in the application of technology to the marketing function Demonstrated ability to turn business user requests into actionable requirements Demonstrated understanding of the connection between functional requests and user experience Expertise with contemporary project management techniques including agile development Experience working in a matrixed team environment and attaining accountability and results from matrixed groups Must possess strong organizational skills and excellent relationship building skills across technology and marketing organizationsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor degree strongly preferred Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager and component development technology Healthcare Industry experience desired Experience in presales, business development, consulting or other customer-facing roles (can be internal customers) Practitioner (vs User) experience with CRM and Marketing Automation tools such as Marketo, Eloqua (Oracle) and SalesforceCareers with Optum.
