The Executive Director, Marketing & Creative Services serves as a member of UCI's Strategic Communications senior management team and provides counsel and support to senior leadership, including the Chancellor, Associate and Vice Chancellors, Health Chief Executive Officer, and Deans. The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring that UCI's marketing and creative goals are met, serving as the functional lead for marketing strategy, marketing communications (collateral materials, advertising, outdoor, web content), web design and content management, and creative services (graphic design, photography, videography, art and illustration, interactive design and development, copywriting). This position works closely with the Associate Chancellor, Strategic Communications to advance the goals of the university through strong brand management, a marketing strategy aligned with institutional priorities, and effective creative solutions and programming. The Executive Director leads a team of creative, web and marketing professionals, both staff and contracted, which includes advertising agencies, photographers/videographers, graphic and interactive designers, printers, fulfillment houses, and digital programmers. S/He also leads project-based cross-disciplinary teams and maintains relationships with internal constituents - from faculty and academic managers to unit-based marketing professionals - providing guidance regarding on-brand marketing solutions.
