Job ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.• Help to develop and coordinate marketing and promotional efforts for UAlbany’s intercollegiate athletics.• Implement marketing strategies and game day promotional activities for various sports to include football, men’s soccer, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse.• Aid in the execution of all on-field/on-court promotions; the production of show timelines and public address scripts; organization of in-venue music and timeout coordination with band, cheer and dance; as well as activation of sponsorships.• Help to develop strategies to increase student involvement, which includes: cultivating relationships with student leaders on campus, building and expanding student involvement and excitement around athletic events as well as increasing and improving the overall student experience.• Assist in the execution of a strategic distribution plan of all marketing collateral materials including posters, schedule cards, magnets, etc.• Assist with the recruiting, managing and supervision of all students involved in the UAlbany Athletics Student Marketing Assistant Program on a day-to-day basis, including game day and office duties.• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing
Bachelor’s Degree in sport administration, business, marketing, communications or a related field
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Demonstrated experience with forms of new media including, but not limited to: website, social media, video, mobile and/or email marketing campaigns
Embody a strong work ethic, possess a desire to work in collegiate athletics, and have strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work a non-standard work week including nights, weekends & holidays.
General knowledge of NCAA, CAA and America East rules and regulations
Prior athletic marketing, social media and public relations experience.
• Previous experience operating Click Effects Pro Audio 6.5 and Adobe Photoshop

Additional Salary Information: The University at Albany has job openings for two (2) Marketing Interns. Both positions pay $1,000/month for 10 months with an anticipated start date of August 14, 2017. These positions will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing.
