Under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President for Campus Wellness and Director of Athletics and Recreational Sports, the Assistant Athletics Director for Athletics Events and Athletics Marketing will be responsible for staging and hosting more than 100 home athletic contests each year, including regular and postseason tournaments, as well as numerous special events, including fundraising and alumni functions, department meetings, and campus activities. The Assistant Athletics Director for Athletics Events and Athletics Marketing is responsible for assisting in the creation and coordination of promotions for all of DePauw's intercollegiate athletic programs to enhance the game day experience, stimulate increased attendance, and foster student and community involvement. As well as, working closely with Facilities Management in managing and operating the facilities for the Department of Athletics, including those facilities used for intercollegiate athletics, intramural and sport club programs, and recreational activities.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in athletics/sports/recreation. Prefer at least one year in a college athletics setting.
Communication/Language: Ability to read, listen to and comprehend complex and detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write and communicate complex and detailed correspondence. Ability to direct individuals in both written and verbal form. In emergency situations, be able to direct large groups of individuals.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to count currency and maintain budget/exhibit fiscal responsibility.
Computer Skills: Google applications, Schedule Star. Prefer proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or other publication software (i.e. Microsoft Publisher).
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations: First Aid, CPR and AED, preferred.
