Hershey Entertainment & Resorts is seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Resorts Business Development Manager to join our sales team. The Resorts Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and generating leads for the Hershey Resorts Sales team. This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Resort Sales & Revenue Management and is located at the Hershey Lodge.
Initiating a minimum of 350 calls per week through the Call Center database to potential new clients, using various industry lists and prepared scripts, to promote and sell the products and services of Hershey Meetings, which represents The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge and Hershey Country Club. Calls are outbound to prospects.
Identifying client needs and concerns and offering solutions.
Qualifying and distributing leads to sales managers and assisting sales managers in generating prospect lists for their direct sales efforts.
Providing onsite client support, including site tours and greeting clients.
Assist with sales blitzes, FAMs, client events, and marketing events, including e-mail and direct mail campaigns.
Develop sales skills to handle inquiries in the absence of Sales Managers.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality; or a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the hospitality field and/or sales industry, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Valid Driver’s License
Experience in the Hospitality/Travel & Tourism industry preferred.
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; Delphi experience preferred
Ability to work in a team, independently, and across departments
Ability to multi-task
Familiarity with the company and products/services offered
Must be detail-oriented with solid organization skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction.

Normal work schedule includes Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the ability to work evenings or weekends in order to accommodate clients.
