Position: Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Lutheran Life Communities (the brand and marketing name for Lutheran Life Ministries and its subsidiaries) was founded in 1892 by faithful Lutheran congregations that wanted to meet the needs of their aging members. As a not-for-profit, faith-based organization, Lutheran Life Communities today serves seniors and their families on six campuses in Illinois, Indiana, and Florida through innovative programming and extensive healthcare expertise, welcoming people of all faiths, beliefs, and traditions. Along with independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing levels of care, Lutheran Life Communities offers a variety of specialized programs that are recognized for innovative methods and successful outcomes, such as short-term rehabilitation, memory support, intergenerational childcare, an adult day club, and a pioneering program in the field of senior move management. Each Lutheran Life community is served by its own executive director and expected to support its own operational costs, and all communities and services are accountable to Lutheran Life Ministries.
Reporting to the president and chief executive officer, the senior vice president of human resources is directly responsible for the overall administration, organization, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources Department and all of its component activities, including employment, compensation, performance management, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services, as well as HRIS. The SVP will help to create and cultivate a culture that promotes the ministry, mission, and core values of Lutheran Life Communities, fostering excellence in hospitality and customer service. He or she will ensure the appropriate use of resources to meet organizational needs and to provide exceptional customer service to internal departments, in accordance with overall organizational strategic goals. The SVP also serves as the organization’s corporate compliance officer.
Position: Senior Vice President Marketing and Sales
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Reporting to the chief executive officer and president, the senior vice president of marketing and sales will direct, administer, and coordinate the marketing, sales, and communications activities of Lutheran Life Communities and its affiliates, in accordance with the policies, goals, and objectives set by the CEO/president and COO. The SVP will promote the ministry, mission, and core values of Lutheran Life Communities by demonstrating professional and ethical work practices, while fostering excellence in hospitality and customer service. He or she will manage, supervise, and direct the corporate marketing and sales director for health care, as well as the corporate communications director, and will have a dotted-line management relationship with community sales directors. Efforts will include branding, market analyses, resident occupancy and satisfaction, metrics/benchmarking, and training. The SVP will bring creative leadership and will maintain an active presence on all Lutheran campuses.
