Responsibilities OVERVIEW: The Business Development and Marketing Specialist assists with the development of new revenue generation opportunities, programs, projects and corporate sponsorship's for the Division of Student Affairs. The Specialist coordinates the design and delivery of experiential and social/digital media themed partner events and campaigns across the division. Involves conducting ongoing research to identify the behavioral and consumer lifestyle habits and trends of generational markets including the undergraduate and graduate student populations. Researches and identifies new markets, potential partnerships, and revenue growth opportunities across the division. The new Business Development and Marketing specialist position will help further the Business Development team's strategy to actively increase overall revenue generation opportunities for the Division of Student Affairs. Under general supervision, plans, develops and implements advanced marketing and/or sales plans, strategies and/or events for key projects. Develops PowerPoint presentations and other related reports. Assist with the design and delivery of a collaborative partnership model for the Division of Student Affairs in a dynamic and high profile campus and Bay Area market. Includes the development of all collateral materials and sponsorship overviews. Assist with the development and execution of all sponsor related activations for large scale events including Golden Bear Orientation, Caltopia, ASUC Student Union Open House and all other related events. Management of the Division of Student Affairs Community Innovation Lab. Manage the recruitment, training and retention of student staff and campus and community partners. Direct the full project cycle including evaluation, design and delivery. Actively promote success of projects and new opportunities to campus and community stakeholders. Management of Cal Bears Online Auction. Includes all donor solicitation, donation inventory management and auction fulfillment. Management of the Digital Backpack program. Includes program development, sponsor solicitation and management and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Involved the design, delivery and and management of partner themes experiential and social media events and and campaigns, including short and long-range strategic planning. Research, analyze and monitor marketing efforts for effectiveness, behavioral and consumer trend; report results using quantitative and qualitative data. Conduct market research used for generating sales and new revenue projects. Use marketing and sales platforms such as LinkedIn and Salesforce.
