This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans for Extended Learning, including online programs, the University Centers and Sites that are specific to each program/location and aligned to CWU standards and goals. The position is responsible for ensuring site directors and main campus marketing manager efforts/activities are coordinated and synced.
The position ensures, to the degree possible, CWU main campus experience is replicated at the Centers/Sites (Example: Commencement).
Marketing Plans & Execution - Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for the University Centers and Sites that are specific to each program/location and aligned to CWU standards and goals. - Identify and develop data-driven marketing strategies for Sites/Center and Extended Learning programs to support enrollment priorities - Create, coordinate and participate in promotional activities and marketing events at Centers/Sites, working closely with site directors and public affairs team to market Extended Learning programs and services. This includes sharing photos and content (press releases/stories) on social media platforms and media news partners - Write press releases/newsletters - Serve as point person for media inquiries and earned media outreach - Consult with Public Affairs Team on coordination and production of design, video and web projects - Develop social media strategy for each location and coordinate admins/users for each - Conduct general market research to stay on top of trends and competitotr's marketing movements - Manage the efficient and effective use of the Extended Learning marketing budget and identify budgeting priorities - Negotiate advertising buys with vendors - Responsible for attending events/activities

Administrative - Prepare pre- and post-event analysis, and assess opportunities to make recommendations for improving service to stakeholders and implement those improvements as appropriate - Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings. Conduct surveys to identify potential markets for programs and services - Other duties as assigned
5-7 years minimum experience in marketing
Experience with marketing plan development
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Analytical and creative thinking skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines
Current knowledge of online marketing techniques and best practices
OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
Graphic design and photography experience
Ad agency experience
Experience working with a CMS system (Drupal)
Working knowledge of CRM software (Slate)

Working Conditions: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer work station for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel may be required.
