The Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) is looking for a creative and dedicated project manager. As a member of the Strategic Communications and Marketing team, the successful candidate will work to coordinate all interactive and print projects for various units within OEM and, at times, with partners around IU Bloomington campus. This position oversees the day-to-day workflow of all projects and works to ensure timelines are met and resources are allocated accordingly. The Project Manager will maintain the project database as well as, help with intake of new projects.
As many OEM projects involve email, social, and web communications coordination, a keen interest in and understanding of online tools is important. Understanding how to effectively organize and prioritize projects and multitask is critical. In partnership with the director, this position will also look at and determine capacity for the individual team members and therefore, determine teams assigned to each project.
The job includes coordinating timelines and teams to execute email campaigns, print projects, digital advertising campaigns, and websites. Projects range from less complex assignments to collaboration on strategic initiatives and large assignments.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, business, informatics, or closely related field and three years of experience in project coordination, web, or interactive media production.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Ability to work effectively under deadlines, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage data accurately. Demonstrated proficiency and experience with a web content management system. Must be able to use a Mac or PC. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Two years' experience in higher education or a non-profit organization; Understanding of and experience using Adobe Creative Suite software; Experience with an email service provider such as Salesforce and a web-based project management system.
