Digital Marketing Specialist (Part-time from 1/7/19 thru 6/28/19)
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing and visual communication content to support the mission and programs of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies(SCPS). The individual in this position will work with multiple departments across campus to facilitate communication initiatives and elevate SCPS visibility across internal and external audiences.
The Digital Marketing Specialist, under guidance from the SCPS Marketing Director, creates a digital marketing plan in close collaboration with SCPS programming staff and the Pratt Office of Communication by assessing customer needs and utilizing social media, search engine marketing, display advertising, content marketing, email and more to develop high performing integrated marketing plans that deliver on key school metrics. The position is responsible for implementing digital strategies that showcase the SCPS story by highlighting courses and programs of studies; faculty and student successes; contributions of past students and activities taking place in the studios and classrooms. With the goal of building brand awareness and reporting on metrics, this person will leverage, and, when needed create, highquality content; drive engagement; and improve lead generation. Reporting to the Marketing Director, School of Continuing and Professional Studies, the position requires someone who is organized, flexible, and creative. The ideal candidate is a seasoned media specialist who knows how to maximize the reach and performance of content across platforms and can implement tailored advertising/marketing strategies that can be monitored and tracked to tell a longitudinal story of impact, one that is easily accessible to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Write, manage, develop and execute compelling and engaging content across multiple mediums including social media, website, print publications and other platforms.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop content for digital marketing campaigns and ensure content is delivered across appropriate medial channels.
Create compelling and results-oriented engagement that drives traffic to: website, landing pages, forms, videos, etc. with the goal of converting awareness to enrollment by focusing on a call to action.
Identify and evaluate new digital technologies and use analytics tools to measure traffic to better optimize digital marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media, and general analytics.
Manage the development and reporting of digital metrics, setting standards, monitoring and tracking social media and other digital marketing analytics utilizing dashboards to optimize and enhance campaigns, measure progress, and maximize ROI. Offer actionable insights based on campaign performance.
Ensure best practices are followed in all areas of digital marketing; employ cutting-edge tactics to increase brand awareness among desired audiences.
Assist, as needed, in scheduling, tracking and prioritizing communication projects.

Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications or Visual Design.
Experience: Two years' hands-on experience with video, photography and graphic design tools and proven success in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field. Two years' professional experience using social media to achieve maximum reach and engagement. Two years' professional experience using project management systems and Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites. CMS experience helpful.
Knowledge and Skill:
Comprehensive knowledge of branding guidelines and communications policies
Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic organization.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with faculty, students and administrators requiring intensive concentration and excellent listening skills.
Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and with a team with strong problem solving skills and the ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.
Five or more years of experience in marketing communications, digital content production, or a related field.
Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills, with experience developing and implementing communications strategies.
Familiarity with social and digital analytics.
Experience creating various types of content – posts, emails, newsletters, website, landing pages, calls-to-action, etc.
Basic knowledge and understanding of fine art, design, and/or architecture industries.
Experience in Higher Education.
