Title: Marketing and Institutional Relations Director
Job Description: The Marketing Director will design and implement an effective comprehensive Marketing Plan. The Director will regularly perform data analysis, continually modernize and enhance outreach and social networking efforts to increase student inquiries and overall image of the Spanish Studies Abroad brand. The Director has responsibility for directing the recruiting team, ensuring the success and growth of the department, providing and implementing strategies to increase applications, retaining and growing our affiliate network and strengthening our institutional relationships. The position requires self-direction and excellent time management skills in marketing and sales, design, website/database management as well as print coordination of all Spanish Studies Abroad marketing materials. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits and is based in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Design and implement a Marketing Plan with a comprehensive marketing strategy
Establish and implement IR recruiting goals for each recruiting season
Establish and implement publicity objectives for each season
Attend and participate at International Education conferences
Coordination, design, and printing of promotional materials
Regular data analysis and competitive analysis of marketing strategies
Oversight and development of current and new web-based database tools
Image-management through design/coordination of marketing materials and strategies
Strong leadership and management skills with ability to lead a staff to achieve set goals
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation and public speaking skills in English and Spanish
Willingness to travel frequently during recruiting seasons
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Experience in social media management and online advertisement management
Proficiency in web design software
Experience with SEO, AdWords, etc.
Master’s degree preferred
Managerial experience in marketing and sales and client relationships
Experience in Higher Education and/or knowledge of U.S. Academic Institutions, strongly preferred
