Involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating the printed and / or electronic production of books, journals, catalogs, publications, manuscripts, promotional and other materials. Confers with writer / editors, communications design specialists, web programming specialists, project directors, authors and related staff in the preparation of proposed publications; verifies that format of copy conforms to printing and / or electronic publishing specifications.
Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices, marketing, and organizational policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
UCSC Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) supports the University mission of academics, research and public service by providing and managing access to UC Santa Cruz and overseeing the planning, design and operation of the facilities and programs associated with parking, transit services, and bicycle/pedestrian circulation.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Extensive understanding of desktop publishing, communications, and graphics and design principles
Experience developing a variety of print / graphic materials, including brochures, schedules, forms, flyers, posters.
Significant experience designing and implementing marketing campaigns and communications / social media strategies for new and existing programs.
Experience in website design and development, including information structure and design
Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
