The Content Marketing team serves as the brand ambassador and voice of the firm. The team aims to deliver the firm's intellectual capitals covering markets, thought leadership, investment strategies and product solutions, across a variety of offline and online communications channels. Besides producing content and managing content production process, the team will track content performance and evolve content approach to maximise impact.
The role will create, adapt and amplify content through optimization of global, regional and local expertise, and also owned, paid and earned media channels. Content will be in different formats from printed materials to video or infographics for events, campaigns, digital and social media activities. This role will take ownership of enhancing efficiency in content creation & production, and also effectiveness where metrics shall be used to improve content quality on an ongoing basis. The role shall be dedicated to driving content engagement where content shall be effective in accessing to prosperous clients, building lasting client relationships, and powerfully differentiating our brand from the competition.
The role will work closely within Marketing and with Business to identify editorial needs, and with various subject matter experts ("SME") within the firm to develop different types of content. The content includes and is not limited to markets, thought leadership, investment strategies, and product solutions. Target audience ranges from institutions to intermediaries/financial advisors to end investors. The role shall leverage on the knowledge of SMEs while applying his/her editorial and content marketing skills to ensure each piece of content on-brand, thought-provoking and meaningful to clients. This role will require strong Chinese and English language abilities, as well as leadership and marketing skills.
Bachelor degree or higher in economics, journalism or equivalent; preferred with demonstrated experience and success as a writer / editor in the industry
15+ years of investment/financial writing experience, with solid understanding of financial, economic and investment concepts, asset management industry and products
Superior writing and editorial skills in Chinese tailored for different target audience and marketing channels is critical
Displays a reporter-like tenacity to get on the calendar of senior-level subject matter experts when necessary to react to market events, generate high-quality content under tight deadlines, within short turnaround
Demonstrates ability to turn complex financial subject matters into compelling stories that effectively promotes the firm's capabilities, engages the target audience, and drives the desired actions
Strong interviewing skills; demonstrated ability to synthesize various viewpoints and translate those views into thoughtful marketing and educational pieces
Passionate about creating client engaging content and keen on evaluating content impact for continuous improvement
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts across teams / countries
Excellent time management and project management skills and the ability to coordinate editorial projects with multiple departments
Process-driven, attentive to details with proven experience of managing content production processes
Excellent skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools, and open to evolving technology platforms and systems. Ability to drive process efficiencies
Highly flexible and positive; comfortable working with ambiguity, frequently changing deadlines and minimal supervision
Thrives working both independently and as a team member
This is a regional role providing support to various markets as and when needed while there may be dedication to specific markets at different times
