Advertised Job Summary:
The coordinator of marketing is responsible for assisting Student Life marketing and communication efforts through creative design, website management, video production and production of print, multimedia and other marketing and communications channels. The coordinator supports marketing projects for all functional areas in the department by developing creative content, from concept to production including promotional items, advertisements, digital content and more. This team member will also assist in training delegates from units within the department serving in web and social media roles.
Primary responsibilities include:
Create and update Student Life webpages and advise student organizations on best practices for web content
Assist with communication initiatives including creation of videos, photography, advertising, and graphic design
Hiring, training and supervision of student employees serving in creative media roles
Manage content posted on Student Life's social media
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.
This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement / hazardous weather and other emergencies. In addition, this position requires a variable work schedule. Evening and weekend hours will be required.
This position will also support the university's mission and goals through participating in recruitment and retention activities, as appropriate, for prospective and current students.
