The Strategic Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing our marketing and communications strategy for the Bank. Individual will partner with other department heads to develop strategic marketing programs while managing a diverse portfolio of projects. Driving progress towards the bank’s business objectives, building internal and external relationships, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment will be key drivers of success. The position is responsible for providing business units with effective marketing and communication programs to enable them to meet product & solutions objectives consistent with our brand identity. This position will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns that acquire new customers, optimize marketing channels, and increase the value of customers to the Bank. This role will specifically focus on developing strategic ideas to increase our customer base primarily by uncovering actionable insights through market research, testing, and analytics.
Develop and execute campaigns and marketing programs to support and promote new or existing high priority products or solutions.
Manage all marketing assets for the Bank. Promote an environment of continuous learning and improvement to keep our products & solutions competitively positioned verse the market and robustly supported for optimal sales success.
Develop, manage, evaluate and report on marketing campaign budgets.
Manage all aspects of the development and execution of each marketing and communication campaign project from conceptualization through execution and implementation.
Analyze results of marketing campaigns and develop recommendations based on campaign results.
Plan, create, coordinate and administer the Bank marketing and advertising programs, including all social media channels.
Develop and implement pricing analytics, strategies and tactics to drive deposit balance and customer growth; optimizing cost of deposits with consideration of the bank’s risk appetite and funding strategy.
Assist with composing and distribution of Bank collateral, merchandizing and promotional material.
Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiation and financial analysis with appropriate parties.
Utilizes internal and external research data to evaluate products, services, market areas and customer segments; recommends strategies in design, delivery and pricing.
Participates in the development of new or improved bank products, services, or delivery channels.
Ensures that tracking and reporting systems are in place to effectively identify customer activities and trends, sales, and transaction volumes to maximize profitability.
Keeps abreast of trends and developments in banking, particularly in retail banking products and services, consumer lending, and traditional or alternative branch banking.
Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and bank policies related to advertisements or promotions of products and/or services.
Continually improve the processes and costs of delivery.
Understand and adhere to the Bank's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Bank's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Manage, improve, and maintain online content.
Provides for the continuing development of subordinate managers and staff. Conducts periodic performance reviews; identifies training and/or performance needs and ensures appropriate action.
Represents the Bank through active participation in community and industry activities that promote the Bank’s interests.
Create content (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts and other forums) to articulate the benefits of our products to clients and prospects.
Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.
Carries out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field, a plus
10+ years of experience in managing marketing campaigns in a client or agency environment, or in marketing, portfolio management, product development and/or product risk.
Experience working as a digital marketing specialist or similar role with knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing and social media marketing required
Marketing experience in the financial services industry preferred.
Minimum five years project management/supervisory experience.
Excellent written, verbal and negotiation communication skills.
Proven experience creating strategic content for executive management, such as executive correspondence, letters, annual report copy, presentations and speeches.
Experience writing website copy.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of management. Ability to collaborate effectively and follow up to ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results
Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
Excellent Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
