Rumsey Hall School is seeking an accomplished coordinator of strategic content to help manage the many communications platforms. This is a deadline-driven role that requires an organized, talented, and versatile communications professional. The Digital Marketing Assistant will produce content of exceptional quality and ensure that our websites, publications, and social media accounts meet institutional goals and guidelines. This position is managed by the Director of Communications and reports to the Director of Advancement. In addition to the Digital Marketing/Communications Assistant, the Advancement department consists of the Director of Advancement, Communications Director, Associate Director of Advancement/Parent & Alumni Relations, the Advancement & Special Events Associate, and the Gift and Database Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to Advancement. This is a full-time, year-round position with benefits, with a July 1 start date.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage Web News and Content
Monitor campus events to conceive, plan, research, and write news stories and other web content
Work with faculty, staff, and students to create quality content for our website and eventual blog
Work with media assets (light editing/optimization of photos and videos), creating GIF files
Monitor comments and other engagement across social platforms, consulting with or alerting people on campus when responses are needed.
Help maintain website. Update images and content. Create online forms when needed.
Use input and analytics to improve site architecture, functionality, and content as needed.
Maintain calendar for website maintenance/upgrades, website news, and social media.
Misc. Writing, Editing, and Creative
Support the production process of Rarebits with copy editing and proofing.
• Contribute to office brainstorming and concept development efforts as needed.

Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years experience in digital marketing communications and should have a record of success in creating and making strategic use of high quality content. Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage and multi-task a diverse range of projects. Excellent organization, interpersonal, creative, written, and oral communication skills. Qualified applicants should be able to demonstrate:
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong graphic design skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs
• Ability to quickly learn and work within a variety of content management systems
• Familiarity with Finalsite or Blackbaud a plus
• Experience working in independent schools a plus
