1. Determines strategies for public relations efforts. 2. Plans, directs, and oversees public relations and information programs designed to meet University goals and promote a positive awareness of multi-faceted educational institution. 3. Devises and plans methods to present information to media and community. 4. Develops, plans, writes, edits and distributes press releases, advertisements and other promotional material in alignment with communication strategy. 5. Formulates strategies to communicate and publicize the University's best interests. 6. Oversees the design, productions, and distribution of various communication efforts. 7. Decides on content of public relations programs; determines extent and parameters of public relations efforts needed for particular circumstances and subject matters. 8. Disseminates and organizes timely, accurate, and comprehensive information to a variety of audiences both internally and externally to the University. 9. Initiates and generates ideas for programs, public relations efforts, and media communications. 10. May perform other duties as assigned.
