Position Summary: Assistant professor appointments to this rank normally require the doctorate or appropriate terminal degree. Evidence of potential effective teaching and potential scholarship in teaching and learning, artistic creativity, discovery, and outreach/application/engagement is a prerequisite to appointment to the rank of assistant professor. Appointees in this rank have charge of instruction in assigned classes or laboratories and independent or shared responsibility in the determination of course objectives, methods of teaching, and the subject matter to be covered. Assistant professors are expected to demonstrate the ability to conduct and direct scholarly activities, and to provide intramural and extramural professional service.
Minimum Qualifications: - Ph.D. completed or near completion in marketing or allied field. - Demonstrated excellence in teaching and willingness to teach a variety of marketing and core business courses. - Demonstrated excellence in scholarly activity leading to refereed journal publications.
Preferred Qualifications: - Ph.D. completed in marketing or allied field. - Demonstrated excellence in delivering one or more of the required courses in marketing (principles of marketing, consumer behavior, marketing research, and marketing management). - Demonstrated excellence in delivering one or more a breadth of marketing electives (e.g., sales management, digital marketing strategy, sports marketing, retail, promotions, services marketing, pricing, etc.). - Demonstrated excellence in delivering courses in the business core (introductory, analytics, or strategic management). - Demonstrated excellence in scholarly activity leading to refereed journal publications.
