The Digital Marketing Production Specialist supports the Advancement Marketing team by executing data and production processes for email and social media that in turn support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts across multiple channelsâ”including web, direct mail, texting, and student calling.
This role must balance multiple, ongoing production schedules to help meet topline fundraising and stewardship objectives, with a focus on helping to achieve the $40M+ fundraising goal for the Brown Annual Fund. This position will work very closely with the Assistant Director, Digital Marketing to produce and deliver email solicitations, newsletters, stewardship, recruitment and event follow-up efforts as well as to track and report back on statistics to better inform marketing strategy. This position will also execute paid and organic social media campaigns, including management of the BearShare social media ambassador program and will work in collaboration with the Sr. Digital Strategist and content producers to help implement content marketing strategies. This position will also play a role in supporting the implementation of new digital marketing tools as they are adopted by the Division of Advancement.
Education and Experience
Bachelorâ™s degree and 2-5 years of experience in communications/publications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently: eager and effective collaborator.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Web-savvy; familiarity with current and emerging social media platforms, both paid and organic.
Knowledge of and working experience HTML/CSS a plus.
Experience using email marketing and social media publishing and analytics platform(s) preferred.
Experience using constituent relationship management (CRM) database platform(s) preferred.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, InDesign) preferred.
Familiarity with multimedia production and formats preferred.
Ability to multitask and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment required. Effective at problem-solving and project planning.
Ability to deal with confidential information with complete discretion required.
Demonstrated strong skills with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software required; familiarity with Windows environment preferred. Must be very comfortable and creative as a computer user, interested in using technology to streamline activities.
