The Director of Marketing develops and executes brand and marketing strategies to support brand reputation and enrollment at the University, with a specific focus on undergraduate, adult and transfer student markets and programs.
In partnership with Admission, s/he is responsible for day-to-day strategic planning and management of undergraduate, adult learner and transfer advertising, message strategies and integrated communications efforts.
• Work with senior administrators to develop marketing strategies in support of institutional priorities and enrollment objectives • In collaboration with senior director of marketing and the senior MarComm team, help set the digital/traditional marketing strategy for undergraduate, adult and transfer program areas and other external constituencies • Collaborate with marketing team and admissions office to employ best practices for lead generation and lead nurturing efforts • Support the senior director of marketing in promoting graduate, online and non-credit marketing • Ensure paid advertising reflects enrollment strategy and brand standards • Manage external consultants, as directed, to achieve necessary results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs • Recommend and administer appropriate market research and analytics activity to support brand and enrollment objectives • Help analyze and interpret data, market conditions, and stakeholder positions to develop marketing and communication campaigns across the institution • Help to manage annual marketing expenditures related to undergraduate, transfer and adult focused efforts
• Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals • Serve as a project manager on communications projects, as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required • Minimum of 7 years progressive integrated marketing experience • Outstanding editorial, written and verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities • Proficient with industry-relevant software and tools including Google Marketing suite, social media, marketing automation tools • Understanding of SEM and SEO best practices
• Master’s degree in marketing or related field • Prior experience in higher education • Prior experience in online learning
