KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include the following, with other duties that may be assigned as the role evolves. - Develop communications strategies for The Beryl Institute and affiliated brands/organizations (Patient Experience Institute, Patient Experience Policy Forum and Patient Experience Journal) including digital, direct marketing, social media, public relations, events and content marketing
- Effectively manage all brands to drive awareness, community involvement, resource/program utilization and event participation
- Establish and maintain core message platform for The Beryl Institute’s overall mission and core functional areas (community relations, content and partnership)
- Work closely with staff leads to define and support marketing and program needs for each area
- Develop communications calendar to effectively balance integrated message delivery and creative marketing campaigns for all areas
- Oversee website presence and updates to ensure information is current and easily accessible
- Lead event strategy including coordination of internal and external resources to plan and execute annual ELEVATE PX, the global patient experience event
- Establish and monitor marketing budgets and provide reporting to gauge effectiveness of efforts
- Lead, mentor and supervise marketing staff including Marketing, Manager, Content Manager, Project Manager and contract resources
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s Degree required, with minimum of 5 years in a marketing leadership role
- Healthcare industry experience and/or CPXP preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Team player with an understanding and focus on the delivery of unparalleled service
- High-energy leader capable of quickly assessing situations and needs and deploying resources effectively in response while measuring and monitoring results
- Ability to multi-task and take personal initiative for specific areas of accountability
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, maintain composure and perform well under pressure
- Strong persuasive and analytical skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT The Senior Director, Marketing and Communications is a virtual role, providing the individual with greater flexibility and also the need for critical focus in maintaining consistent communication and management responsibilities. When deemed safe to travel based on pandemic regulations, travel expectations will primarily be related to team meetings, events hosted by the Institute and /or event site visits, averaging approximately one trip per quarter.
