The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs. • Develop, implement and execute a marketing plan for Volleyball and Women’s Lacrosse which includes: outlining promotions, raising attendance and enhancing in-game promotions to maximize the fan experience. • Implement marketing strategies and game day promotional activities for various sports to include football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s lacrosse, men’s soccer and women’s soccer. • Aid in the execution of all on-field/on-court promotions; the production of show timelines and public address scripts; organization of in-venue music and timeout coordination with band, cheer and dance; as well as activation of sponsorships. • Help to develop strategies to increase student involvement, which includes: cultivating relationships with student leaders on campus, building and expanding student involvement and excitement around athletic events as well as increasing and improving the overall student experience. • Assist in the execution of a strategic distribution plan of all marketing collateral materials including posters, schedule cards, magnets, etc. • Assist with the recruitment, management and supervision of all students involved in the department’s Sports Marketing Assistant program on a day-to-day basis, including game day and office duties. • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs.
Bachelor’s Degree in sport administration, business, marketing, communications or a related field
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Demonstrated experience with forms of new media including, but not limited to: website, social media, video, mobile and/or email marketing campaigns
Embody a strong work ethic, possess a desire to work in collegiate athletics, and have strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work a non-standard work week including nights, weekends & holidays.
General knowledge of NCAA, CAA and America East rules and regulations
Additional Salary Information: This position will pay $1,000/month for 10 months with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2021.
