Work with the Americas Marketing team, assist in achieving product line sales and margin by helping drive execution of sales and marketing plan, tracking actuals vs. target and other key metrics such as closes, losses, and growth within accounts, and adjusting tactics as needed to achieve targets.
Assist in developing sales tools (literature, brochures, website and all media), training materials, campaigns and field sales and customer communications to support sales and the customer and address any product line issues. Assist in assessing value, plan and coordinate presence at key industry meetings. Support Field efforts to participate in and conduct local channel meetings that drive customer adoption. Help develop sales educational/promotional pieces as appropriate: Initiate/manage/ implement publications/ competitive comparisons to support business strategy as appropriate.
This product manager role will manage the Abbott Molecular automation portfolio including the newest product, Alinity m, as well as the HIV, HCV and HBV product lines and future product extensions for these assays.
Closely track and take responsibility for the impact of launches and adapt where required - identifying risks and development of mitigation plans
Work closely with Sales and Field management to develop and execute product marketing programs/tactics to respond to Customer and marketplace needs.
Confidently build business cases for new ideas and sells ideas internally, working closely with commercial teams, peers and Global Marketing
Work with a broad array or internal and external groups to assure that marketing strategy is created and tactics in support of that strategy are executed. Help develop product information and key initiative presentations for use with sales force and key customers. Collaborate with others on the development of strategic projects.
Work with Finance, Marketing Manager, Directors and Regional Managers to provide business analysis and support development of PLAN, Update and LBEs. Provide monthly assessment of product line performance in sales, margin, key initiatives, new closes and other issues affecting business prospects.
Assist in the development of marketing strategies and tactics to expand the market for Abbott Molecular product and services portfolio.
Understand the region business dynamics and competitive environment and potential impact on business unit results.
Ad/promo management and support.
Assist in development of marketing and sales materials/tools/programs and secure approval via the promotional material approval process.
Analyze opportunities and develop tactical recommendations.
Receive, review and respond to Field Sales & Customer requests.
Bachelors Degree required. MBA preferred or at least three years previous marketing/sales experience. Sales experience preferred. Strong presentation and communication skills Critical thinking and analysis of market conditions and opportunities
