Auxiliary Services represents a diverse portfolio of business units providing key services to the University and our host communities. Our essential services include conferences/events, parking, transportation, stores, vehicle/equipment fleet, mail services, and COVID-19 testing services.
In collaboration with the University Communications and Marketing team, this position will lead all communications and marketing efforts of the Auxiliary Services department. This includes communications and marketing to our internal customers as well as efforts to market and recruit external business for our conference and events group which generates revenue for the University.
Liaise with University Communications and Marketing on behalf of the Auxiliary Services Department
Create, maintain, and manage the communications and marketing strategy of all Auxiliary Services departments, including but not limited to events and conferences, transportation, and parking
Create, maintain, and manage Auxiliary Services social media strategy and campaigns
Plan, review, and execute Auxiliary Services initiatives and campaigns promoting our department and associated programs
Develop and manage the Auxiliary Services website and mobile presence
Review and develop all Auxiliary Services internal/external communicationsManage the Auxiliary Services Customer Support team (1 direct report, 2 indirect)
Collaborating with the Team Lead, customer support, manage the fiscal aspects of the Auxiliary Services departments, including, but not limited to purchase order requests, interdepartmental transfers, monthly reconciliations, and regular reporting to the Senior Director and departmental Directors
Develop and manage customer/guest service training program for the Auxiliary Services team
Knowledge and experience as typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and minimum of Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible communications and marketing experience
Minimum 5 years managing direct reports
Motivated Self Starter that can multitask under the pressure of a high-volume workload
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter focused on improvement and executing transformative change
Sales experience preferred
