Our location in Alameda, CA currently has an opportunity for a Marketing Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join the market access marketing team in a rapidly growing area of medical devices. You will be responsible for supporting effective marketing programs, sales support tools and driving marketing and sales operations for the market access channel. Addressing patient affordability and access is a critical need in the evolving managed care landscape. You will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, brand, procurement and marketing compliance to ensure smooth operations of our sales and marketing programs. This is an exciting opportunity to support the execution of payer marketing programs for the continuous and blood glucose monitoring portfolio at Abbott Diabetes Care.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support marketing activities
Manage and coordinate with vendors to support marketing activities
Provide logistical support for tradeshows
Provide support to marketing and sales team requests
Create, execute and deliver marketing materials for the sales team in accordance with brand, regulatory and legal guidelines
Assist in marketing expense controls
Inventory management of promotional materials
Track marketing tactic spend
Purchasing and payment processing to ensure efficient marketing activities
Review expense reports and provide timely reminders and for budget controls
Provide administrative service and support
Provide logistical support to marketing team members
Establish and manage group marketing and sales materials including but not limited to promotional materials, training materials, trackers and calendars.
Ensure financial, regulatory and marketing compliance in performing overall activities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
At least 1 year experience in the healthcare field or in a related area
Familiar with a variety of marketing activities, practices, and regulations
Familiar with the healthcare industry and regulations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
Ability to interact and communicate in a professional manner with external thought leaders
Proficient in Microsoft word, powerpoint, excel, and database management
Excellent oral and written communication, time and project management skills
Strong problem solving skills and a great team player
Strong attention to detail and flexible enough to evolve in a rapidly changing environment
Proven ability to deliver results and manage a business; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required
Fluent in a different language is desired, but not necessary
Ability to travel up to 25% travel
