Responsible for developing, implementing and executing marketing plans including social media, web, email, multimedia, design, brand and advertising as part of a full lifecycle marketing strategy. Requires detailed marketing project management for all the core activities developed with the Director of Digital and Brand Marketing and in support of University Communications’ strategic objectives and institutional key initiatives. 1.Social media strategy and execution across Lehigh’s institutional established and emerging platforms *Strategize, execute, manage and contribute to Lehigh's social media presence on established channels like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, as well as emerging and opportunistic platforms to reach core audiences *Represent the institutional voice and deliver key messaging on all institutional social media platforms *Monitor, moderate and engage in community conversation across institutional social media channels *Track, measure and report monthly social media activity *Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate emerging social media platforms appropriate for higher education audiences *Work with University communications teams and teams across the institution to discover and develop social media content plans *Evolve capabilities in social storytelling, branding and community engagement *Manage third party social media and content management platforms like TINT, Hootsuite, Twitch, Linktree, Bitmoji, etc.
2. Multimedia, design and content production *Optimize content created by University communications and other University offices for distribution across institutional digital platforms *Understand digital design and multimedia trends that can be effectively utilized to reach audiences *Develop and create design and multimedia content to post across digital platforms *Supervise student workers who support content creation and marketing programming *Manage third party content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe suite, video platforms and app-based tools
3.Digital, brand and reputational marketing execution under the direction of the Digital and Brand Marketing Director *Manage projects related to website development and content updates *Manage email marketing efforts *Support all brand marketing projects from guideline development, brand experience, stewardship and implementation to marketing messaging, materials and institutional brand voice *Manage digital, print, search and social advertising campaigns *Manage third party marketing platforms such as Merit Pages, Giphy, Spotify, Smiirl, etc.
4.Marketing research, data and analytics management, tracking and reporting *Develop and maintain marketing analytics metric database *Develop and distribute marketing analytics reports *Benchmark digital marketing efforts in the higher education space and consumer marketing spaces *Lead market research and competitor analysis efforts to understand opportunities and threats *Manage database activities to support direct marketing programs *Analyze and provide recommendations for future analytics tools, software and new tactics to maximize marketing effectiveness *Manage third party analytics platforms and software such as Iconosquare, NUVI, etc.
5. Support institutional initiatives, events and special projects *Flexible and creative project management of institutional short-term high priority initiatives *Long term project and resource planning to support large scale university initiatives *Support of various university events such as groundbreakings, ribbon-cuttings, presentations, speaker events, student events, traditions, etc.

The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor
Flexible schedule available based on personal needs and the needs of the department; nights and weekends when needed, rotation through the weekend on call schedule
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five to eight years related work experience
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and advanced graphics software
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion
Excellent organizational skills, time management and sound judgment
Solid analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
