The Marketing and Communications department is seeking a Senior Director of Communications Content to bring the School???s vision, thought leadership, and strategic priorities to life in a meaningful and engaging way. Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), this individual will understand audience interests and behavior, develop exciting and innovative content, and inspire and lead a team of content creators across mediums.
Develop strategy and roadmap for the development and distribution of highly engaging and impactful content across mediums, including text, video, audio, and infographics.
Create and lead in-house and freelance content team of writers, editors, multi-media producers, and social media experts.
Collaborate with strategic communications team to identify and confirm story ideas and high-level messaging. Work with CMCO to set team goals and KPIs.
Oversee all content across channels, including social media, website, alumni magazine, and more. Create and manage content team???s editorial content calendar.
Research, analyze, monitor, and understand audience behavior on an ongoing basis.
Partner with marketing team to distribute content across channels.
Oversee budget, resources, and overall project management for content creation and production.
Stay update to date on trends, industry shifts and audience behavior, and continuously seek out new opportunities and methods for content creation and distribution.
Works on special projects and tasks as assigned by the CMCO.
Bachelor???s degree required. Minimum 5-7 years related experience required.
Must have demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Has proven experience in operating at both a strategic and tactical level and is willing to pitch in tactically as necessary. Can move quickly and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work. Has deep experience and proven success in producing and managing content for multiple mediums. Has experience using audience insights and behavioral data to optimize content. Demonstrates creative and strategic thinking. Ability to work well with stakeholders across functions. Shows an excitement and enthusiasm for being part of this new team. Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings required.
