The successful candidate will conceptualize and create graphics for the promotion of Southeastern Athletics as well as assist with Athletic Marketing. Additionally, the position will help in the oversight of a student worker staff, interns, and Graduate Assistants.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. The production and oversight of all graphic design products that can include, but is not limited to printed materials, social media materials and in-venue content. 2. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office as well as Adobe products such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. 3. Design and creation of promotional material for sporting and fundraising events. 4. Maintain a consistent visual image and brand identity as established by the university and Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. 5. Follow established departmental policies and procedures for procurement of goods and services. 6. Ability to work games, nights/evenings, weekends and holidays. 7. Assist the Director of Athletic Marketing and Student Promotions with the direction, scheduling, and maintenance of student worker staff, interns and graduate assistants. 8. Assist with game day production and serve as the liaison for sporting events. This includes pre-game, in-game and post-game contests, promotions, guest performers, etc. to enhance the game day experience for Women’s Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, and Volleyball. May also entail: 9. Responsible for the creation and coordination of game scripts, which comply with sponsor agreements, Southland Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. 10. Coordinate and execute promotions that are part of in-game sponsorship agreements, which include PA announcements, message board content, game sponsorships, sponsored contests, or any other contracted sponsor request. 11. Coordinate the playing of canned music and works in conjunction with the Band Director for the transition of music played. 12. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. A minimum of two years of graphic design experience using the Adobe suite.  Interpersonal communication skills in order to interact effectively with a variety of clients, support staff and vendors.

The ability to accept feedback as part of the creative process. A working knowledge in maintaining files and image storage. Proficient with using a photography camera to shoot as well as the ability to set up a set (lights, backdrop, etc.) if needed. The ability to teach and train students in all facets of graphic design. Experience in the sports industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design or related field from an accredited university. Master’s degree from an accredited university. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
