Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Director Marketing & Communications and Strategic Initiatives for the Dean's Office within the School of Health Professions (SHP). Under direction of the Associate Dean/COO, the Director Marketing & Communications and Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for leading the internal and external marketing and communications strategy on behalf of SHP and overseeing all department activity. Serve as a senior member of the school's leadership team. Design and execute high priority projects for the school, ensuring congruency between direction and strategy.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Direct school's marketing and communication efforts, inclusive of digital, print and web strategy, website content, branding, and overall elevation of reputation and reach.
Produce the school's annual report, inclusive of content, theme, and design.
Oversee the school's social media presence and strategy including organic and paid content.
Lead, author, and execute SHP's communication strategy, inclusive of high-level correspondence, to both internal and external audiences.
Compose a variety of written and spoken materials on behalf of SHP and RBHS leadership.
Design and execute high level, high priority projects and initiatives across the School of Health Professions.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's degree required. Minimum of five years of relevant experience in an institution of higher education.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent oral communication and writing skills.
Requires history of direct responsibility for marketing, communications, and programming.
