Job Summary The Marketing Manager, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine works with key stakeholders to create marketing and communication strategies that drive business outcomes through integrated multi-channel campaigns. This role will partner with the Director of Marketing and Communications to create a marketing plan and collaborate with Digital, Communications and Market Research teams to optimize digital marketing best practices and produce the necessary content and deliverables to achieve the objectives outlined in the annual plan.
This Marketing Manager, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine will:
Support the annual planning and goal setting process by participating in the development of the plan, conducting the appropriate business analytics, competitive, campaign and audience analysis as well as identifying and recommending the appropriate metrics for success.
Maintain knowledge of the combination of conditions and services in order to develop positioning and value propositions that sets BCH apart from the competition.
Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape, assigned customer segments and clinical issues through research, competitive analysis, market segmentation etc.
Work with Digital and Communications teams to support production of deliverables aligned with stakeholder priorities and tactics by creating marketing briefs, plans and timelines to meet execution deadlines.
Participate in conducting competitive analyses, research and market segmentation. Assess research and market data and incorporate into recommendations. Prepare campaign reporting as required for campaign planning and analysis and for presentations to stakeholders.
Manage budgets, status reports and dashboards for areas of responsibility which includes estimation and timing of deliverables, and ROI.
Take initiative to stay on top of, understand and influence the use of innovations and best practices in marketing to improve campaign development and effectiveness.
To qualify, you must have:
BA degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or equivalent.
At least 5 years' experience in marketing and communications, building and executing digital and multichannel lead generation and/or brand campaigns. Healthcare, digital or high-tech marketing experience preferred.
Familiarity with all aspects of marketing and communications strategy, planning and execution including audience definition, competitive analysis, content development, launch readiness/announcements, digital marketing (SEO/SEM), collateral (e.g., brochures), advertising, events/trade-show materials, and strategic initiatives.
Creative ability to translate clinical value propositions, messaging and content into an effective integrated online and offline results-driven campaigns.
Proficient understanding of visual design tools to oversee development and design process of campaign materials.
Ability to provide insight into effective digital and traditional mediums specific to clinical and consumer segments.
Quantitative ability to assess research and market data to drive recommendations that elevate the BCH brand and deliver on patient/volume goals.
Strong project management skills and experience delivering complex projects to completion.
Experience managing complex relationships with stakeholders is required.
Exceptional oral and written communications and presentation skills.
Thorough knowledge of digital design tools, web analytics (Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.) and Google Adwords, and content management tools (i.e., Brandmaker).
Strong understanding of social media, social media platforms, search, digital marketing and metrics.
