The Event Coordinator will assist with the management of events in Lupton Hall, including providing day-of assistance for events. The Event Coordinator will also provide daytime supervision for the University Center student staff.
Working hours: M-F 6:30am-3:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reservation & Event Management
Process/confirm all room requests for Lupton Hall 1st Floor
Process/confirm all UTC requests for Exterior Space
Coordinate Room Layout and Equipment Needs for Lupton Hall 1st Floor and Exterior Space events
"Check-In" with events in Tennessee, Chattanooga, and Auditorium prior to the event start
Provide technology troubleshooting as needed
Invoice non-UTC events
Track billed invoices vs. payment received, following up as needed
Student Staff Supervision
Student staff weekly scheduling
Daytime supervision/training of UC Student Staff Areas of UC Office, Info Desks, & Game Room
Evaluate student staff performance in conjunction with Evening Coordinator
Open the University Center each weekday
Report and follow-up on maintenance and IT service requests
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Knowledge of/experience with EMS, Social Tables, and/or 7Point Ops
Experience working in a University Center/Student Union setting (either as a student or professional)

Minimum qualifications:Typically requires a high school diploma and three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred qualifications:Experience working in a University Center/Student Union setting, either as a student or professional, are preferred.
