The R ole: Marketing Manager, Strategic Marketing Initiatives - Credit & Risk Solutions

The Team: You will join a creative and enthusiastic global Strategic Marketing Initiatives (SMI) - Credit & Risk Solutions team that is responsible for generating qualified leads for new business and driving engagement and upsell opportunities with current clients. We achieve this through building clear and consistent messaging that is focused on customer workflow and delivering this to market through robust, integrated marketing campaigns that comprise a diverse mix of channels including, but not limited to, digital, (social, email, advertising) events, strategic partnerships, and sales enablement.

The Impact: Your position is critical to drive the success of the SMI - Credit & Risk Solutions team, and you will have direct alignment to all relevant client segments and other SMI teams, whilst working with the broader marketing and operations teams to work towards common goals. The Marketing Manager will provide critical support to the Senior Marketing Manager and Associate Director in the development of the strategic marketing plan, and the implementation of various marketing campaigns, in order to drive lead generation and engage clients in line with business priorities and targets. The Marketing Manager will also engage with Product and Commercial stakeholders to build a solid understanding of our customers, including target persona workflows, our solutions, the go-to-market strategies, and the global competitive landscape.

Marketing communications - Create all types of content aligned to the customer engagement funnel/buyer journey - including, but not limited to web and advertising copy, social posts, video scripts, email copy, and nurture campaigns using customer-focused messaging
Digital & SEO - Help to optimize our digital footprint across all channels to ensure our content is discoverable and relevant to our customers' needs. Refresh digital campaigns to include remarketing, prospecting and display advertising.
Metrics - Learn the end-to-end lead process, then analyze and measure the performance of each tactic and channel in order to maximize reach and effectiveness. Track engagement performance of our social media posts and readership of published content to help drive decisions on future topics and content mediums.
Event support & management - Work closely with the Events team to assist in the execution of webinars, 3rd party and hosted events, including pre-event communication, attendee check-ins, and post-event lead processing as well as understand event KPIs; suggest opportunities for event optimization.
Marketing planning - Understand and contribute to the marketing plans and campaigns for Credit & Risk Solutions, and how these align to business priorities and client segments and personas.
Cross-segment teams - Collaborate with colleagues from the segment marketing Demand Generation teams to create and deliver segment-specific Credit & Risk Solutions campaigns.
Cross-functional teams - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Events, Marketing Ops, Sales Ops, Education, Design, Compliance, Branding) to support the project management and delivery of all marketing activity and provide timely updates.
Sales enablement - Develop sales collateral and materials to help Sales teams communicate the value proposition in line with customer workflows and the diagnostic selling approach
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's or MBA Degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred)
Minimum 3+ years' experience working in a B2B marketing role or equivalent experience in the financial services sector.
Foundational understanding of the industries and markets covered by S&P Global Market Intelligence
Strong experience writing marketing copy that clearly communicates content focus, or a product's benefits and unique selling proposition
Strong understanding of marketing and developing marketing strategies from start to finish
Excellent communication skills (oral/written).
Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Marketo marketing automation a plus
Strong organizational skills required to prioritize multiple work priorities and projects concurrently and meet established deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changeable environment, and to collaborate with others beyond one's reporting line
Long-term interest in a career in marketing
Comprehensive understanding of relevant client segment personas and the S&P Global Market Intelligence Credit & Risk Solutions products/solutions that support their workflows
Strong understanding of the digital marketing space and creating marketing workflows
An out of the box thinker-open to innovating ideas to get ahead of the competition
Can do attitude and excellent communication skills
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000-$85,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
