Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the Federal Work-Study (Student Only) part-time position of Marketing & Communications Assistant. This position will support the department and assist the Marketing & Communications staff with daily work such as website management, proofreading, copywriting, graphic design, photography, videography, social media, and more.
Reviewing college websites for broken links and inventory of necessary updates
Taking photos/videos at student events; curating content for social media
Helping with student interviews for various marketing/communication pieces
Simple graphic design projects
Proofreading and reviewing various written materials
Social media support/assistance
General office support
Other duties as needed
Work Hours: Flexible daytime: Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, 10 hours per week
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and others.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Dependable and able to stick to a work schedule
Prefer knowledge/familiarity with basic design software and tools (Canva, Adobe Suite).
