To work with the entire Division of Student Affairs to implement all marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Creates, implements and measures the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Division of Student Affair's image and position within the campus marketplace. Facilitates internal and external communications and coordinates Division of Student Affairs marketing, communications and public relations activities.
Operates within UAB policies and guidelines regarding media relations activity, coordinates with University Relations staff appropriately to address external media opportunities for Division of Student Affairs.
Develops short- and long-term plans and budgets for marketing/communications/public relations program and its activities, monitors progress, assures adherence and evaluates performance.
Develops, implements and monitors systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing/communications/public relations functions throughout the Division of Student Affairs.
Works with senior staff, other staff and volunteers to develop and maintain strategic perspective -based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction - in organizational direction, program and services and decision-making that will enhance the Division of Student Affairs.
Ensures the Division of Student Affairs philosophy, mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $50,050.00 - $55,600.00
Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
