The PALUMBO-DONAHUE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION at DUQUESNE UNIVERSITY invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in Marketing, beginning Fall 2022. An applicant with an MBA or relevant master's degree would be appointed as an Instructor, while an applicant with a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field would be appointed as an Assistant Professor of Practice. Responsibilities include a base teaching load of eight (4-4 load) three credit-hour classes per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as service to the department, school and/or university.
Applicants with corporate sales and/or marketing experience who are also passionate about teaching courses in marketing and professional selling are especially welcome and encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates who, through their teaching and service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of Duquesne's academic community.

Support and Programs
The AACSB-accredited Palumbo-Donahue School of Business has approximately 1500 undergraduate and graduate students. We offer a collegial environment, competitive salaries, easy access to the vibrant Pittsburgh business community and support for high-quality teaching. The Management and Marketing Department supports several degree programs within the School, 2 including the B.S.B.A (majors include marketing, management, and entrepreneurship), the MBA (online, part-time and full-time) and the online M.S. in Management. The Department has 21 fulltime faculty members including 7 faculty focusing on sales and marketing. The School's strategic plan includes sustainability principles, business ethics and an entrepreneurial mindset as learning themes for all students. Marketing is the largest major in the School and includes three tracks for students to choose from (digital marketing/analytics, professional selling, and sports marketing).
Moreover, the Department is home to four centers of excellence, including the robust sales program housed in the Center for Leadership in Professional Selling. This Center hosts an annual competition, the Steel City Sales Challenge, that attracted competitors from 13 universities in 2020.

Required Attributes
Significant professional experience in sales and/or marketing roles
An MBA or relevant master's degree
