Reporting to the Director of Digital Strategy & Marketing, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Digital Strategy and Web Services and Office of Communications teams, as well as, internal stakeholders across Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). You can quickly assess, understand, and manage initiatives that will contribute to the goals and success of digital campaigns. The ideal candidate is data-driven and self-motivated and ready for any challenge thrown their way.
Blend traditional and digital marketing skills with data analytics practices.
Assist with the research, implementation, tracking, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across all appropriate channels and support traditional marketing tactics.
Serve as a cross-functional liaison who works with stakeholders, creative, and the web technology teams to define, create, and launch digital campaigns.
Assist in the maintenance of location and provider business listings across multiple 3rd party sites, including Google My Business, Bing, WebMD, and other similar sites
Conduct and present research for paid search engine marketing, social media, and other digital campaigns
Collaborate with the billing manager to ensure billable time is adequately documented
Address technical issues and communicate those issues to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Serve as a resource on the CUIMC campus as a digital marketing liaison
Collaborate with content contributors across CUIMC
Develop reports and presentations

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field, or equivalent in education and experience, plus at least three years of related experience
At least one year of related experience in a role with digital marketing or social media management responsibilities.
Understanding of pay-per-click (PPC) and search engine advertising
Experience in search engine optimization, search engine marketing, marketing databases, email, social media, and display advertising
Prior experience in social media, web content production, or other site content contribution
Active on social media with an operational understanding of native social media ad platforms, including, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram
Excellent understanding of the digital media landscape and the ability to envision and predict future marketing/social media trends
Ability to measure, analyze, and report performance on all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals.
Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Experience working in healthcare, preferably in digital marketing or communications
Editorial experience is a plus, including editing, copywriting, and proofreading, with an eye for creativity and good design.
Experience working with designers and programmers.
Affinity for technology and learning new concepts
Strategic digital communications advocate who collaborates with stakeholders and executes digital strategies to enhance external communications.
