The Segment Marketing Manager is responsible to manage and coordinate a wide range of activities in Laird Connectivity’s key target vertical market segments of Industrial and Medical.The role is the guiding force in driving forward Laird Connectivity's market growth in these two key segments. The Segment Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the target segments, in support of all major product lines focus on System on Modules (SOM) and Wi-Fi connectivity, at a product level. This remote position anywhere in the United States or United Kingdom.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops the position and message strategies for each segment.
Conducts research on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Participate in market focused exhibitions and events with a particular focus on market / industry associations that drive implementation of embedded computing and wireless connectivity into the target market.
Creates sales tools and training materials to help sales teams effectively position and sell to the target markets.
Delivers training for sales teams on product and market specifications and functionalities for key vertical segments
Engages with key customers in the target markets to understand their needs and gather feedback to inform product development and marketing decisions.
Generates and writes technical marketing collateral such as white papers, information graphics and more.
Works alongside Product Management team to develop and deliver informative webinars and blogs with a focus on the key verticals.
Enagages with equivalent market and segment leads from our key silicon partners to develop joint market development plans and align with their activities in the key markets.
Monitors performance of marketing activity in key vertical in conjunction with digital marketing activity in the company and lead follow up processes with sales team.
Knowledge of sales/marketing/brand strategies and link all activities to the department strategic plans.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, marketing, business, or related
At least 2-5 years experience as a technical marketing or product management within Industrial or Medical organizations
Familiar with high-tech environment, electronics industries, and/or B2B marketing preferred
Familiar with embedded computing platforms, with knowledge of SOMs / SBC being preferred
Familiar with wireless communications with a technical understanding of 802.11 and Bluetooth
