Columbia Business School Executive Education is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and innovative Sales and Marketing Analyst with loads of entrepreneurial spirit to join our marketing and sales team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Sales, the Sales and Marketing Analyst will be the go-to person for all things analytics ??? working across the team to help create and deliver the dashboards, reports, and analyses to support the growth of the Executive Education business.
The analyst will work closely with the marketing team to understand the efficacy of our marketing campaigns, uncover opportunities for optimization, and surface insights that help us optimize our investment and marketing efforts. S/he will collaborate with the sales team, helping them to identify obstacles and opportunities, to better understand pipeline velocity, and be more effective and efficient in what they do.
S/he will also work closely with the Program Management team to analyze the program feedback to draw observation and recommendations as part of program reviews when needed.
Finally, the analyst will work with the Head of Marketing and Sales on forecasting and growth modeling, on portfolio review and on competitive analysis leveraging internal and external data to help chart and track the growth path of the business.
Extract and analyze the sales pipeline and marketing data from Google Analytics, Salesforce, and other relevant sources.
Develop, maintain, and share a variety of dashboards and ad-hoc reports with sales and marketing stakeholders.
Work with the Head of Marketing and Sales to develop and track KPIs that help forecast and monitor the sales's performance. Prepares reporting for senior management.
Partner with the sales and marketing teams, using data analytics to provide insights that help identify obstacles and uncover growth opportunities for the business.
Work with the senior management team in the creation of growth forecasts, goal setting, and tracking.
Seek new opportunities for the business to gather, analyze, and leverage data to improve decision making and business outcomes.
Create a systematic way to analyze program feedback and share outcome with the management.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Bachelor???s degree required. 3-5 years of experience required, preferably, working as an analyst, ideally in a sales and marketing environment.
Must have demonstrated excellent communication skills and an ability to present complicated information in a clear, concise, and valuable way. Must have the ability to think critically and find insights in large, sometimes unstructured data sets. Must have hands-on experience building, owning, and delivering dashboard reports. Must have proficiency with MS Office, including excel. Must have experience in at least one of the following platforms: Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Tableau. Familiar with digital marketing disciplines such as SEM, display ads, email marketing & social media required. An ability to generate ideas and work independently in a small entrepreneurial team environment. Strong team player able to work cooperatively in a small team.
Higher Education experience preferred. MBA or other advanced degree in a related subject area preferred. Direct experience analyzing marketing campaigns and sales pipelines is strongly preferred.
